Grow the chainLive

Turn a season of deliveries into a credit history a lender will accept.

Advance inputs on credit and recover them automatically at harvest.

The binding constraint on smallholder yield is rarely knowledge or effort — it's that quality seed and fertiliser have to be paid for months before the harvest that pays for them. Aggregators bridge that gap with input credit, and then carry the recovery risk largely blind.

FuroField makes the loop explicit. Advances are issued against a grower, deliveries are valued at intake, and the value nets automatically against what that grower owes — oldest advance first. What accumulates is a repayment record: for most smallholders, the first formal credit history they have ever had.

The problem

Recovery is reconciled by hand, months late, and disputes are unwinnable

When advances live in one book and deliveries in another, netting becomes a manual reconciliation at the end of a season — exactly when memories differ, records are thin and the grower relationship is most fragile.

  • Advance balances that nobody can state confidently mid-season
  • Deliveries recorded without any link to what the grower owes
  • Disputes with no per-grower ledger to settle them
  • Repayment performance that can't be shown to a bank, so credit never gets cheaper
How it works

From first record to something you can act on

01

Issue the advance

Seed, fertiliser or chemical is advanced against a grower at planting and recorded as a referenced advance with a value.

02

Take the delivery

At harvest, the grower delivers. Quantity and price per kilogram give the gross value of that delivery.

03

Net automatically

The delivery value nets against that grower's outstanding advances, oldest first, and the remainder becomes net payable. No end-of-season reconciliation.

04

Build the record

Advances, deliveries and repayments accumulate into a per-grower ledger that can be exported to a microfinance institution or bank.

What you get

In detail

Referenced input advances

Every advance carries a reference and a status — outstanding, partially repaid, repaid, written off — so balances are never ambiguous.

Automatic FIFO netting

Deliveries settle the oldest open advance first, transparently and identically for every grower.

Net-payable calculation

Gross delivery value minus netted amount gives what the grower is actually paid, computed rather than negotiated.

Per-grower ledger

A complete advance, delivery and repayment history per grower — exportable to an MFI or bank.

Manual repayments

Cash repayments are captured and capped against the outstanding balance, so an advance can't be over-settled.

Scheme credit position

Total credit outstanding, delivered value and amount netted across the scheme, current at any moment.

Questions

About input credit & harvest netting

What does this change for the grower?

Two things. Recovery becomes transparent — they can see what was advanced, what was delivered and what was netted. And a repayment history accumulates in their name, which is the asset that eventually gets them cheaper credit.

Does FuroField lend the money?

No. FuroField is the system of record for schemes that lend inputs. It makes recovery automatic and repayment performance provable; the capital is yours or your lender's.

What if a grower side-sells and never delivers?

The advance stays outstanding and visible against that grower rather than disappearing into a seasonal write-off, which is what makes side-selling measurable in the first place.
